Yes we are back and Summer is almost over, children are back to school and we are all back in our routines.....
including
LET'S GET SHABBY!
We are now up to Challenge #52
An inspirational picture to be interpreted any way you wish
though we DO need you to tell us what inspired your project from the picture...
(remember to create only for LGS)
Isn't it gorgeous!
Here are the Design Team's projects and explanations...
I used the picture as a sketch and recreated the dress from white petals with a poster feel
I was inspired by the colours and
the dogs and created with a vintage tag.
I have also used the poster as a sketch.
I was inspired mainly by
the colours
in the poster and
the 'Paris' aspect of the film where in order to
help her forget her woes, Sabrina (Audrey Hepburn) is shipped off Paris in this
romantic film.
So for my DT piece I
decided to alter a house blank.
I was inspired by the vintage picture with the dogs, therefore used this photo of my grandmother with her cat. I also followed the picture as a sketch.
Inspired by the colours and the movie theme (use of film strips).
Used the picture of Audrey Hepburn and used the picture as a sketch too.
Sadly we say goodbye to
who has been with Let's Get Shabby a long time.
We were very lucky to be inspired by her amazing beautifully crafted projects.
Best of luck Zanka we will certainly miss you!

And to introduce our newest member
Julie, Deb and I have worked together with Bec over at 'Let's December Daily' but our friendship developed years and years ago between the four of us and its so nice to have her with us here too.
Here's a bit about Bec
I’ve been scrapping traditionally since 2007 with lots of Off The Page,
which I love, being thrown amongst the scrapping also. I have discovered Project Life at the end of 2012 and am so hooked. But I still
love to do my 12x12 pages as well. After almost 9 years in Early Education I have landed my dream job of working
in a scrapbooking store. And what a joy it is. I am a full time working mum of a teenage boy and a 5yo that thinks she is a
teenager. They are my inspiration and my drive to scrapbook and record our
memories.
I was inspired by the colours and the shapes of the inspiration picture, the
black outline of the poster and the shape on the wall which reminded me of a
feather.
