Here's a little about Mel.....

I can remember way back when I would beg my Nan to get out her jars, tins and other assorted containers of buttons and bits and pieces she had collected over the years, so I could look through them and play with them. I am afraid to say that since then, the interest in vintage anything has only grown. I love mixing vintage with the new and am always on the lookout for exciting bits and pieces. At 'What Is Old Is New', our whole philosophy is blending the old with the new, mixing some of our much loved older paper ranges with the brand new, mixing vintage and handmade with modern and just creating some great kits.

We look forward to seeing what you will create for this challenge!

GLAMOROUS BOOK WRAP

I have lots of books falling apart from pages being torn out all in the name of art. This is one of my old faithfuls, it has been a great resource for card-making. To keep the rest of it together, I have simply used a vintage organza band from an old hat beyond repair and a vintage rhinestone buckle. Vintage beauty in all its simplicity. The idea works well for art-journals, cards and altered books as well.
