Introducing Our Three New Shabby Girls & Winner of Challenge #42 with Honorable Mentions!

It's with great pleasure to introduce our new Design Team Members!

It was an agonising time as there were many submissions, more than we expected!  And some who played along with Challenge#42 too!

Thank-you to all who applied, we could only pick three, the standard was high!
So we've decided there will be some guesting with our coming challenges!

 But first we must say
a sad farewell to
Anja
who as been such a talented designer for LGS for a long time.   We have been delighted by her works every month which have been incredibly inspirational
Thank you so much Anja, we wish you well!

Warm welcome to our
New Design Team Members

I'm sure most of you know......
(Australia)

I started scrapbooking around 1999/2000 after looking through a magazine article on scrapbooking and thought “this is for me”. As with most of us, I look back on my earlier attempts at scrapbooking and can see how much has changed (scrapping styles – my style) but in saying that I still love the memories that my older albums hold. I love the idea that I can have such a great creative outlet for myself and know that in the years to come my family will be able to enjoy the memories that I have kept for them. I love distressing and paint and generally getting messy on my layouts but I do love the pretties as well...the lace, the doilies and ribbons. I think I’ve created a “shabby” feel, so I’d like to think that my style is along that vintage/shabby line although describing “my style” has always been a challenge for me. I’ve tried my hand at a lot of different crafts over the years but since starting scrapbooking, these have taken a bit of a backseat and like most of us, I can’t imagine my life without it now.
