Formally known as 'Let's Get Shabby' since 2009.
Times have changed and many of us have found our styles have too.

Challenge #31

Here is our first Challenge for the New Year!

We are creating with a
New Year's song inspiration....
We really loved this song because it has quite a positive message and feels very international too!
So create with either the title and/or any of the lyrics within your project
(so long as its visable)

Title of song: 'This is the New Year'
by Ian Axel

you tube:

Lyrics:
Another year you made a promise
Another chance to turn it all around
And do not save this for tomorrow
Embrace the past and you can live for now
And I will give the world to you

Speak louder than the words before you
And give them meaning no one else has found
The role we play is so important
We are the voices of the underground
And I would give the world to you

Say everything you’ve always wanted,
Be not afraid of who you really are,
Cause in the end we have each other,
And that’s at least one thing worth living for,
And I would give the world to you

A million suns that shine upon me
A million eyes you are the brightest blue
Lets tear the walls down that divide us
And build a statue strong enough for two,

I pass it back to you
And I will wait for you,
Cause I would give the world
And I would give the world
And I would give the world to you

This is the new year
A new beginning
You made a promise
You are the brightest
We are the voices
This is the new year
We are the voices
This is the new year

AND
Introducing our newest Shabby Girl

Welcome

Hello everyone,
My name is Dora Dekker, I live in Alkmaar, it is in the North-West of the Netherlands.
I'm a very energetic person who can't sit still. Most of the time I'm scrapping or creating. I also read a lot, and I mean a lot! I love music from years ago, think about Simon & Garfunkel, Neil Young, Petula Clark, Johny Cash...and so many more. I'm addicted to musicals too.
I'm a girl who tries to enjoy every day in life, I’m enthusiastic and spontaneous.
I start scrapbooking in 2008 and make everything that is possible, love to make little drawers, baskets, cards, layouts, and mini albums. I love to make vintage projects, and most of the time my projects are romantic and shabby chic.
So when Mandy ask me to join the team I was doing a little happy dance, I was really honoured!  Great to be in this team!
Looking forward to see all the beautiful inspiration that we all make.
