I come from the Netherlands and live in a town called Leidschendam which is near the sea. I started scrapping 3 years ago. I've always liked taking photos and I collecting beautiful gift wrapping papers and beautiful pictures to stick into my diary. So I guess that paperart has always inspired me. I feel really happy when I am scrapping, I love to create something beautiful. I must admit it makes me proud as well....lol.When I think of shabby chic I think of romance, lace, flowers, victorian style, beautiful embellishments..... I love the influence of Jane Austen and the Brontë sisters. Also vintage findings are always a great catch to add to your layout or altered item. I just love this style, it's a part of me I guess....
