This month Jenneke is sharing with us how she made the cute butterflies on her gorgeous canvas she made for this month's challenge sample.
Here is what you will need:
Water in a spraybottle, joiner's glue or bookbinder's glue, a stamp, a hard paintbrush and.....toiletpaper (or tissue paper)
And here is what you will need to do.
Moisten the stamp
Gently 'push' a piece of toiletpaper on the stamp (make sure it goes into all holes), do this with about 3 layers of paper, until the surface is almost dry
Mix some joiner's glue (or bookbinder's glue) and a lot of water to it, mix it and dab it with the brush gently on the surface of the toiletpaper. LET IT DRY!!
When it's totally dry, ad 2 or 3 layers paper again with water, repeat process.
When dry, carefully pull the paper of the stamp.
Then cut the butterfly out of the paper.
Here is a close up of the finished butterfly. You can keep it white, but it's also possible to color it with glimmer mist, acrylic paint or something like that. To give it a protective layer, you can use some gel medium.
Thanks for sharing with us Jenneke.
If you end up trying Jenneke's technique we would love to see the end result. Post a comment on this post with a link and we will pop in and check it out.
Don't forget to check out Challenge 14 there is still ample time to get your gorgeous creations in.
