Introducing CHALLENGE 7's SPONSOR!!!!

LISA
Hi I am Lisa from Lilli-Lou Vintage and I have been a crafter for as long as I can remember. My mum patiently taught me to hand sew when I was about 4, even though she herself was not a crafty person. From there my gorgeous Nanna set about introducng me to knitting, and machine sewing. I was hooked! But of course it didn't stop there. I loved to draw, and paint and soon found myself trying every and any craft possible.

The two crafts that have found a permanent home at my craft desk are paper arts (scrapbooking and stamping) and sewing, and I just can't imagine a day without them.

My long time love of all things vintage, antique and grany chic started taking over my small cottage home almost 12 months ago. And it was time to develope a small, personal business to share my goodies with. Lilli-Lou Vintage was born. Lilli-Lou Vintage stocks vintage clothing, paper goods, handmade lovlies, and gorgeous vintage laces and trims. We are starting with a small line, and will be explanding in the new year, I am so excited and bursting with wonderful ideas.

Shabby christmas

many of us like to put up a few decorations around the house and here are a few ideas for some handmade decorations from Shabby girl Jenneke and our guest this month Maria.

Jenneke has made up some gorgeous snow domes and has put togther some steps to share with us all here and Marie has made up some really cute xmas trees inspired by an article she seen in Scrapbook Creations magazine by Carol Lee Morgan that she has up on the Artistic forum.

Jenneke's snow domes

Clean a jar and printout a vintage image including a flipped image. I found mine on Vintage Holiday Crafts.

Consolidate the image with a piece of cardboard and glue the two images together.

Fold the bottom of the images and glue it on the bottom of the jar.

Cut some small pieces of paper, curl them with a scissor and drop them into the jar.

Decorate the jar with lace, ribbons and all kinds of Christmas stuff you like.

You can do the same with jars in other shapes and use other images and decoration. And of course it's not only a Christmas idea! You can make them for any other opportunity!!

Hope you'll have fun making them!

Marie's trees.

You can find the instructions for Marie's trees here on the Artistic forum.

Hope you are have fun creating your shabby Christmas projects. I have been checking out the entries as they have been coming in and we have some gorgeous stuff so far.
You still time to enter as the 20th Dec is the deadline.
